Grief doesn’t follow a straight line. Some days you may feel numb and empty, other days everything feels sharp and raw. You might find yourself withdrawing, struggling to focus and connect with anything or anyone, or wondering why you still feel so lost months or even years later. This is so normal.

Whether your loss is recent or a long time ago, whether it’s the death of a loved one, a miscarriage, the end of a relationship, or the loss of a life you thought you’d have, grief counselling offers space to process the feelings around your loss gently, without pressure or expectation to "move on", or behave in ways you might think the world expects or wants you to.

How Therapy Can Help with Grief and Loss

There’s no right way to grieve. You might be feeling disconnected from others, carrying anger or regret, or unsure how to express what’s happening inside. You might never even have talkOften people seek support because they’re feeling stuck — they’re carrying on with everyday life but something hasn’t settled emotionally, and nothing feels "normal". 

We offer support for

  • Bereavement and loss of a loved one

  • Miscarriage, child loss, or pregnancy-related grief

  • Grief after estrangement or complicated relationships

  • Loss of identity, future, or life transitions

  • Emotional numbness, anger, sadness or guilt

  • Feeling stuck or unable to move forward

What You Can Bring To Sessions

You don’t need to have a clear reason for reaching out. Loss can be obvious or invisible - from bereavement and miscarriage to estrangement, the end of a role or identity, or a future that didn’t unfold as expected. Sometimes people come unsure whether what they’re feeling “counts” as grief. It does.
Counselling gives you a place to slow down, acknowledge and process your experience.
