Meet Anne
Anne Richardson Psychotherapy and Counselling
Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and a personal one. If you're deciding to invest your time and money in seeing a private therapist, it’s important to find someone you feel comfortable with - who you feel understands you, and can hold whatever you're bringing. My approach is warm, supportive, and non-judgemental, giving you space to explore what’s going on at your pace. I will challenge with compassion and curiosity, and value building an authentic and strong connection.

Words From Anne
"I pride myself on the authentic relationships I build with the people I work with. I offer a safe space to talk about anything and am committed to listening with empathy, curiosity, compassion, and without judgement. I also believe there is room in the counselling and psychotherapy space for humour, creativity and unique connection.
Watching my clients learn more about themselves, and go on to challenge and change deep-seated unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, is incredibly rewarding.
It’s an honour to learn about them, and to be part of their experience and growth."

I was recently named Psychotherapist of the Year 2025 – East Midlands by Global Health & Pharma’s Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Awards.
